Over the weekend, the Internet rejoiced in celebration when we learned that Beyoncé had reportedly given birth to her twins. While the details (like the sex of the babies or their names) have yet to be revealed, that hasn't stopped fans — or the media — from speculating endlessly about these two little babes. And while our hands are getting tired from refreshing Queen Bey's social media pages over and over, there has been at least one "official" announcement from the family — but it's left the Beyhive surprisingly mad.
In case you missed it, Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé's father, took to Twitter yesterday morning (June 18) to share a photo of balloons with text that read "Happy birthday to the twins!" He also added, "They're here" in the caption, along with several hashtags: #beyonce, #twins, #jayz, and #happybirthday.
It seems like the kind of thing a grandpa would do, but Beyoncé's fans aren't too happy about Mathew's message for one big reason: His post was written before any Instagram or tweet from Queen Bey herself. And considering how social media exploded when Beyoncé first announced her pregnancy on the 'gram, we can only assume that her birth announcement will be all kinds of epic.
Of course, it's hard to know exactly what went on behind the scenes of that tweet. While it's understandable to think that Bey herself should be the first one to share the information, it's also entirely possible that Mathew asked Beyoncé if he could post about her good news. Nevertheless, the Beyhive is in full sting mode — as proven by the responses.
